We will be perfectly honest – we did not expect much from the trailer above for Samurai Brunch, a rogue-lite action rpg to come for PlayStation 4. However, the game conquered us with its Old charm -School and what looks like being a neat gameplay.
You play Susanoo, a divinity of Japanese mythology, which has been removed from. You will puncture through procedural levels in order to regain the strength and capabilities of Susanoo, for the ultimate goal of defeating the legendary eight-headed dragon, Yamata-No-Orochi. Presented in a 3D, isometric and pixelized style, it brings great energy PS1 – we saw it compared to Brave Fencer Musashi, which we can follow.
The gameplay seems quite modern. Overcoming enemies and finding booty will bring you fighting scrolls, which will allow you to learn techniques and upgrade all kinds of attributes, creating a unique construction at each race and becoming stronger. Meanwhile, beat the Mini-Boss GENERALS rewards you with armor parts that enhance your statistics and offer unique advantages – but these last only as long as you can stay alive. It is a fairly typical fee of rogue-lite, but the way it is presented is that everything seems simple and accessible.
The proof will be in the game, of course, but Samurai Bringer seems pretty promising here. It will be launched on PS4 on April 21, 2022 – Will you check it? Master the blade in the comments section below.
