Roger Federer has not yet abandoned the hopes for a return to the tennis circus despite a long injury break. “I hope I can start the comeback against the middle or end of the year,” said the 20-color Grand Slam winner of the ZDF on the edge of the Alpine Ski World Cup in Lenzerheide.
Federer lives with his family in the immediate vicinity in the canton of Graubünden. There was a difficult time in the last six months, gave the long-standing number one in the world: “I was two months on crutches.” Meanwhile, he is “back on the legs. You see, I can move myself normally again, but still has to wait a bit with race.” He hopes an increase in the next few months.

Federer has no match since his quarter-finals against Poland Hubert Hurkacz in July 2021 in Wimbledon. In August he had to undergo another surgery at the right knee – for the third time since 2020.
